Formaldehyde widely used in Vaccines
Wednesday, October 7th, 2009So I went to a webinar on the flu vaccine and found out formaldehyde is a common ingredient in not just the flu vaccine, but in many others. Here is the formaldehyde council’s take on it:
“Health & Safety: Overview
It is estimated that for every U.S. dollar spent on vaccinating children, $27 are realized in long-term economic benefits by reducing medical costs throughout a child’s formative years and preventing the spread of contagious diseases. Formaldehyde plays a big role.
Formaldehyde is one of the most extensively studied chemicals in existence and there is a wealth of scientific understanding of its characteristics. This wealth of knowledge allows formaldehyde resins to be used in the creation of cardiac drugs, antihistamines, personal hygiene products, vaccines, vitamins, baby formula and in veterinary medicine. Pound for pound, this little molecule is a dynamo of economic production that delivers numerous benefits and helps us to lead healthier and safer lives.”

Here is another section of their website which gives some examples of vaccines that are formaldehyde based: http://www.formaldehyde.org/healthSafety/vaccines.html
I was pretty shocked by this, so I went to check out the MSDS(material safety data sheet) for formaldehyde and here is the link to the sheet: http://www.sciencelab.com/xMSDS-Formaldehyde_37_solution-9924095
That’s what I’ve learned today and hope you found this information helpful in making a more informed decision when faced with the choice of to vaccinate for not to vaccinate, that is the question. My decision is no: what’s yours going to be?
